Amanda Kamara grew up in a small town in the middle of Norway, and was drawn towards all things music from an early age. And with a fearlessness she began performing on local stages and in competitions.
Music then led her to the capital where she studied musical theatre, while writing music on her own.
After graduating Amanda released her first single Limbo spring of 2017, and she landed a role in the smash hit musical The Book of Mormon at Det Norske Teatret the following fall. In february 2018 she released her second single Can't sing under water, a song about fighting the demons that sometimes surrounds us.
Amanda Kamara brings elements of soul, disco and funk into her music, making music with dreamy and enthusiastic arrangements.
Amanda and her band are also known for their energetic live performances bringing people together.
Amanda will be playing in the musicals Lazarus and Charlie and the chocolate factory at The Norske Teatret this fall, and her very first EP is on it's way!
